Saving Lives When Disaster Strikes
Search and Rescue Assistance in Disasters
That person in the photo is a real volunteer. They've given 2 years of their life and funded their own training. They fly into disaster zones when everyone else is fleeing. Your donation helps make that possible.
SARAID is 100% volunteer-led. Every penny raised goes directly into training, equipment, and deployment — putting skilled lifesavers on the ground when it matters most.
Locates survivors trapped under rubble using specialist equipment
Provides emergency medical care in extreme conditions
Brings families back together when all hope seems lost
SARAID is one of only two UK United Nations-classified organisations able to deploy worldwide in response to major disasters.
SARAID is charity-funded and volunteer-led, with highly trained technicians who commit their time, meet their own costs, and operate in extreme disaster zones where lives are at risk.

"We heard a voice beneath 12 feet of concrete. A child. We worked for 8 hours straight. When we finally pulled her out alive, her mother collapsed in tears."
– SARAID Team Member, Turkey 2023
Within 48 hours, volunteer teams were on the ground, pulling survivors from the rubble.
Every pound goes directly towards training the people who risk everything to rescue families in their darkest hour.
SARAID volunteers give their time freely. Donations fund the £10,000+ training each person needs to be ready to save lives in disaster zones worldwide.
Not a vague promise. Not an admin fund. Every pound from this expedition goes directly to SARAID — the people who fly into disaster zones and pull families out of rubble.
These aren't statistics. These are people who are alive today because SARAID showed up.

Sponsor one metre or all 5,364. Every single pound trains a volunteer who will one day be the difference between a family losing everything — and getting their loved one back.
